Player X bolsters management team with new hires
Continues product, distribution expansion plans
Mobile games and video publisher, Player X, has announced a further series of managerial appointments, bolstering the high profile executive team and furthering the company's ambitious expansion strategy.
Entrepreneur and co-founder of Flytxt, Lars Becker joins the firm as the new COO, overseeing the company's mobile video business and assuming responsibility for integrating the company's global operations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Becker helped Flytxt grow from a small start-up company to one of the UK's 15 fastest growing tech companies, according to its listing in the Sunday Times Tech Track 2004. Becker was previously with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, where he structured private equity and venture capital investments in the technology and wireless telecommunications sectors.
Tony Pearce, Player X CEO, commented: "I'm delighted to have Lars on board and he adds further quality to a team that already includes heavyweights such as Nick Alexander, Ynon Kreiz and Adam Valkin. His appointment means we now have unrivalled expertise in games, video, finance and innovation."
Further changes to the executive team include the hiring of Russell Marke as Financial Director and the appointment of two account managers for Northern and Southern Europe. The company changes follow the recent appointment of industry veteran Nick Alexander as chairman, and the securing of FA Premier League mobile video distribution rights for major territories outside the UK.
