Player X bets on i-mode Casino content
Mobile Games publisher and distributor Player X has teamed up with mobile gambling service and payments provider Probability Games to launch a fully integrated, real money Casino, Bingo and Lotto games service for O2 i-mode customers in the UK.
All O2 i-mode customers who are over 18 years old can play. Registration is on the i-mode phone itself and takes less than two minutes. The games are all free and are saved directly on the handset for use at any time.
The service offers Casino classics such as Roulette, Blackjack and Stud Poker as well as the Nudge 7 Jackpot machine with a community jackpot that regularly reaches more than £10,000. Players can also enjoy Bingo draws every few minutes with progressive jackpots at the end of each session.
Tony Pearce, Player X CEO, said: "We're convinced mobile gamers need something extra that involves fun and a bit of excitement. The mobile Casino allows them to do exactly that either by playing for fun or adding real money to make it even more compelling."
Customers can play from as little as 10p and there are no up-front deposits or subscriptions required. All customers can use Probability's FSA registered Cashish mobile payment solution - paying by credit card or cash over the counter at thousands of shops around the UK.
"i-mode is an important part of the mobile ecosystem and we've extended our already successful easy access, low-stakes gaming formula to this platform. The early signs are that customers love it and today we sent our first winners cheque for £500 to one happy customer," said Charles Cohen, Probability Games CEO.
Player X and Probability also announced today the start of their partnership aiming to offer Probability's mobile Casino, Bingo and Lottery services to mobile operators in Europe and Asia.
Player X is already the leading publisher of Java games to operators worldwide, and has undertaken exhaustive testing of the Probability applications and back-end systems on all major manufacturers' handsets, including Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and LG.
