Player X and FremantleMedia hit the right buttons with Sale of The Century
Mobile media company Player X has teamed up with leading international creator and producer of programme brands, FremantleMedia, to publish a mobile game based on the classic TV gameshow, Sale Of the Century.
The addictive mobile game, which is by developer Qbranch Wireless and licensed by FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, the licensing division of FremantleMedia, contains more than 400 questions. While the game has been designed especially for a mobile screen, it also replicates the format of the TV original by allowing contestants to play along to the original gameshow rules. Player X will be distributing the game across all key European territories and Australia.

In its day, Sale Of The Century was one of the richest quizzes on British television, with the lucky winner going home with a new dining room suite, a car, a holiday and cash. The show ran on networked ITV from 1974 to 1983 and one episode in December 1978 was watched by more than 21.2 million people.
The news follows Player X's recent success in publishing and distributing mobile games. It recently published the exclusive mobile game of this summer's Miami Vice blockbuster movie, while two of its FremantleMedia titles, Family Fortunes and Blockbusters have featured in the ELSPA Mobile Games Top 10; its mobile game of Oscar-winning film Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit was also a global hit.
