Player One secures PDC licence
Worldwide rights to Professional Darts Corporation game
Mobile publisher Player One has secured the worldwide rights to release a game based on the Professional Darts Corporation World Championship.
"This is a significant deal for Player One," said Pete Russell, Player One's MD.
"It is fantastic to be working with such a progressive organisation such as the PDC and believe there is a significant opportunity to grow the mobile community for darts around the world. For Player One it re-enforces our position as the leading provider of top quality mobile sports entertainment."
As well as the game due in December, Player One will offer live streaming, clips and interviews from some of the sports top tournaments including The World Match-play, Las Vegas desert Classic and UK Open.
"Darts has seen significant growth in popularity over the past few years and we are committed to ensure darts fans around the world get access to our product," added Barry Hearn, PDC chairman.
"Mobile is becoming an important platform for us and we are delighted to be working with Player One who have a strong track record in this area."
