Play It launches PSone budget line

Not content with a range of ten quid PS2 titles, pint size budget publisher Play It has announced plans to launch four classic PSone titles at just £7.99 a pop, with more to come.

Budget games firm Play It is set to launch a new line of four classic PlayStation One titles before Christmas priced just £7.99, having already released a slew of PS2 titles priced £9.99 earlier this year.

The titles joining the Play It range will be critically-acclaimed beat 'em ups Toshinden 4 (by Takara, whose PS2 titles are also in the range) and Guilty Gear (Sammy), along with 3D action titles Crisis Beat and Silent Bomber.

Although there are no firm dates for the games (other than "Out Soon"), Play It's website reveals that Creatures 3 and Robocod are also among the publisher's forthcoming PSone releases.

Said Mark Cale, Play It president: "Play It is delighted to show its support for the PSone market with the forthcoming release of these great titles. Crisis Beat, Silent Bomber, Toshinden 4 and Guilty Gear are the first in a line-up designed to offer consumers what they have been crying out for - great games at great prices."

Play It's PS2 line-up already consists of 11 titles, a selection of which met with a degree of critical acclaim over at our sister site of Eurogamer.net.

According to its website, Play It also plans to expand into budget GameBoy titles in the near future.
