Latest version adds new combat vehicles and Medusa's Head Islands.

Göteborg, Sweden - December 10, 2010 /GameBlast/ - First Planet Company, developer and publisher of Planet Calypso, the oldest planet in the Massively Multiplayer Online Game Entropia Universe, announced today their newest version is available as a free download. This update brings the Medusa's Head Islands into the world and is joined by powerful new combat vehicles to rule the land, sea and air.

Colonists can now feel safer than ever as they travel across Planet Calypso in one of three new fully-armed and armored vehicles, at least until they meet another armed Colonist. The mighty Megingjord Tank, Naglaf patrol boat and Gungnir attack helicopter will allow players to survive hostile animal and robot attacks as they fight back with massive firepower. It will also give colonists in PVP zones a chance for true combat.

Vehicles

Tank: Megingjord, Feeling unprotected in a car? Why not use a heavy tank instead? The thick armor and heavy arms on this vehicle are superior to all other vehicles! Combat Boat: Naglfar, Want to become the ruler of the sea? Acquire a patrol boat and protect a district or just keep disturbing joyriders away. Attack Helicopter: Gungnir, In Norse mythology Gungnir is Oden's magical spear that always hits its mark and always kills. Gather several friends in a helicopter and take off.

Vehicle Weapons

Vehicle weapon attachments are introduced. Mounted weapons have a weapon camera mode. The helicopter and the combat boat can be armed with both mountable and attachable weapons. The VTOL can be armed with attachable weapons. The tank can be armed with an attachable weapon that can have a mountable weapon. The vehicle weapons can be fitted to a vehicle with a valid slot for that weapon. The new ones are named: 1. Megingjord Turret Mk1

Vehicle Changes

Vehicle Commissioning: From today vehicles do not need commissioning; you no longer need to find a commissioning terminal before spawning a new vehicle. Inside the VTOL, Valkyrie, Brünnhilde and Saehrimnir you now have a dashboard that, for example, shows the SI, petrol level and speed. The VTOL has additional displays.
