Ow! iPhone puzzler gets v1.3 update bringing, among other things, "a rebuilt game engine".

Coastsink Software has just released a major update to their Apple iPhone™ and Apple iPod touch® “Pinch” puzzler. This new v1.3 update is also known as the “Zoom!” update, and features a rebuilt game engine improving performance, visuals, and by popular player-request, adds a unique zoom mechanic! The zoom mechanic allows players to pinch the screen to zoom in and out of each level, providing a greater chance of solving the more difficult and challenging puzzles within the game. Other new features include the ability to purchase additional downloadable content in the form of level packs, and the inclusion of OpenFeint Support and Leaderboards.

The company is also announcing the development of an Apple iPad-based sequel to Pinch! Development was bolstered recently when the team successfully applied for a new office in the Victoria Business Unit at the University of Teesside in England. The assessment panels stated they were very impressed with Coatsink’s innovation and drive to succeed within the games industry.
