Phantom EFX award

Cedar Falls, Iowa – March 5, 2009 – Phantom EFX, the world’s leading developer and publisher of PC-based casino and card videogames, announced that it has been awarded the Technology Association of Iowa’s (TAI) Prometheus Award for Medium to Large Software Company of the Year. The Technology Association of Iowa presents the prestigious Prometheus Awards each year to top high-tech businesses and individuals from Iowa.

“These are our industry’s academy awards,” said TAI president Leann Jacobson. “They were created to help promote excellence in a business sector that is critical to our state’s economy, particularly in these challenging times. The transformative work we honored last night is helping to build and sustain vibrant communities throughout Iowa.”

Phantom EFX is the leading developer and publisher of casino and card videogames for computers. Its successful Reel Deal series of titles continues to set the industry standard year after year, including 2008’s offering of Reel Deal Slots: Blackbeard’s Revenge, Reel Deal Casino: Millionaire’s Club and Reel Deal Card Games ’09.

Later this year, Phantom and fellow Iowa-based developer 8monkey Labs are also set to release the highly anticipated first first-person-shooter Darkest of Days, a technologically impressive, historical-based shooter that will have players travel across time in order to preserve the future.
