Peter Molyneux another keynote speaker at the GCDC
GC Developer Conference (GCDC)
(21 - 23 August 2006)
The British star developer Peter Molyneux adds his weight to the prestigious circle of speakers at the GCDC in Leipzig. Molyneux is one of the best-known protagonists in the international world of computer games. As co-founder of Bullfrog Productions in 1987, he developed "The God Game", at that time a completely new genre in the game world. This was followed by game successes such as "Dungeon Keeper", "Magic Carpet" and "Theme Park". It is estimated that ten million Bullfrog games were sold worldwide. In 1997, Molyneux left Bullfrog and set up the Lionhead Studios, since when he has concentrated on the development of new games. "Black & White" came out in 2001, presenting a large number of persuasive innovations.
Only recently, he was awarded an honorary doctorate at the University of Abertay (UK) and has been included in the Hall of Fame of the Academy of Interactive Art and Science.
