PERENNIAL PUZZLE FAVOURITE IS NOW PORTABLE ON PSP AND DS
Classic bubble-popping puzzler Bust-A-Move is powered-up and coming to next-gen handheld formats PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS, published by 505 Gamestreet
8th February 2006
505 Gamestreet is delighted to announce today that it is publishing in the UK two brand-new titles in the massive-selling Bust-A-Move series. Bust-A-Move Ghost for PSP and Bust-A-Move DS for Nintendo DS herald the first time the popular puzzle game has appeared on the next-generation handheld formats. As such, the two titles offer players a whole range of new modes and features that are only now possible thanks to the technological leap offered by the new handheld hardware.
Bust-A-Move DS
Utilising the DS's touch-screen, Bust-A-Move DS revolutionises the classic Bust-A-Move gameplay by allowing players to use the bottom screen to "fling" bubbles into the play area using Bub and Bob's funky new catapult, rather than the classic cannon. Touch the screen with the stylus or even your finger to select the angle and trajectory of your shot, then fire away as fast as your fingers can work. The new slingshot system means there's no more waiting for the cannon to rotate into position, resulting in faster and much more frantic play. But don't worry if you're a Bust-A-Move purist - you can choose to play using the classic control pad set up if you like your Bust-A-Move a bit more traditional.
Other new features include a "quick swap" function, where a bubble is always held in reserve in addition to the bubble in play, allowing you to switch in a second at any point. This allows for increased strategy and therefore more exciting ways to bust the bubbles in the play area. Multiplayer matches pitch you against up to four other players wirelessly, using just one copy of the game. The popular Classic mode returns, along with all-new puzzle missions to keep you on your toes and there are eight insane new characters to meet.
Bust-A-Move DS, developed by Taito/Happy Happening and published in the UK by 505 Gamestreet, releases on 24th February, priced £29.99.
Bust-A-Move Ghost
Get ready for a spooky ride with Bust-A-Move's PSP debut, Bust-A-Move Ghost. The game introduces the spooktacular new Ghost mode that includes a tricky new Ghost bubble and a Heart meter to pay attention to for an enhanced experience.
Outside of Ghost mode, the classic addictive bubble popping fun is taken to the extreme with over 1000 addictive new puzzles to beat and four new games including Running Launcher, Mix 'Em Up Double Shot and Time Warp, all of which are exclusive to PSP. Wireless multiplayer (ad-hoc mode) is supported and there are six new Bust-A-Move characters introduced to the mix, including two unlockable puzzle maniacs.
Bust-A-Move Ghost, developed by Dreams Interactive and published in the UK by 505 Gamestreet, releases on 24th March priced £29.99.
