Penny Arcade And Hothead Games Tap Michael Meyers PR To Handle First Penny Arcade Videogame
Seattle, Washington - Feb 09, 2007 Penny Arcade, creators of the popular videogame- oriented web comic of the same name and game developer Hothead Games today announced that Michael Meyers Public Relations (MMPR) has been selected to carry out the public relations campaign for the first-ever Penny Arcade videogame, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.
"We picked MMPR because they did so much to help us with PAX and Child's Play," said Jerry Holkins, who writes Penny Arcade. "It also helps that they're very good at it."
As announced at last year's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) game culture celebration, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One is the first chapter of an episodic comic adventure game for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux as well as next-gen consoles. The downloadable game will feature Penny Arcade web comic characters, including the well- known Gabe and Tycho.
"We can't wait to move into high gear with Precipice of Darkness," said Michael Meyers of MMPR. "The wacky insightfulness of Gabe and Tycho combined with the way people love the comic strip is going to make this game a whole lot of fun to work with."
