PDC World Championship Darts: Pro Tour

PDC referee Russ Bray to help find the perfect "180!" in Facebook contest.

O-Games teams up with darts referee Russ Bray in an international search to find the best ‘180!’ amateur shout-out at www.facebook.com/pdcworldchampionshipdartsprotour

12th November 2010 – Wellingborough, UK

O-Games today announced an exciting promotion for the eagerly-awaited PDC World Championship Darts: Pro Tour, due for release on 26th November 2010 for Wii TM , PlayStation 3 TM , Xbox 360 TM . The games publisher is teaming up with PDC darts referee Russ Bray in a Facebook search for the public’s own interpretation of Bray’s famous ‘180!’ catchphrase.

Entrants are encouraged to film a short video of themselves saying ‘180!’, and then share it with the official PDC World Championship Darts: Pro Tour community by uploading the video to the official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pdcworldchampionshipdartsprotour.

To show how easy it is to do, the official PDC World Championship Darts: Pro Tour Facebook page already has a specially recorded video introduction from Russ Bray, as well as a number of ‘180!’ challenge’ contributions, including one from world darts champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

All entries will be judged by a panel fronted by Russ Bray and O-Games. The promotion will run until Friday 17th December, with only those demonstrating to the judging panel that they can ‘bray like Bray’ being in with the chance of winning top prizes.

The grand prize is one pair of tickets to the hottest event in the darting calendar – the 2011 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship Final at London’s Alexandra Palace, on 3rd January 2011. O-Games is also offering runners-up prizes of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii consoles and copies of the new PDC World Championship Darts: Pro Tour video game.

Russ ‘The Voice’ Bray said:

I’m really excited to be leading the search to find those who think that they’ve got the lungs to match my skills. It doesn’t matter how you say it, where you say it, or what you’re wearing when you say it... we just want you to have fun bellowing out ‘180!’ and share it with the world.”

Jim Scott, CEO of O-Games said:

This year’s iteration of PDC World Championship Darts is our best yet and the first to embrace the PlayStation Move and Wii Motion+ motion controllers. Those who experienced the title at one of our recent events with Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and Russ Bray were immediately swept up by the fun and spectacle of the game, and this is something we’ve encapsulated with our ‘180!’ promotional campaign.”
