Partnertrans at GC Online
Localization workshop to be staged, hosted by founder Iris Ludolf.
Partnertrans co-founder Iris Ludolf is again hosting a workshop, this time during the Business Talk series at GCO (Games Convention Online) to be held in Leipzig on 8 – 10 July 2010.
“I am really excited to be given the opportunity to speak at this event. GC before and now GCO did a lot of groundbreaking work increasing exposure of the industry to a wider public. And when you talk about creating a greater audience, localization is a key point so I believe the workshop's subject is really relevant for everybody working in international development and distribution of games. Online distribution opens new markets, and sales in those markets benefit from having the content adapted to the local culture and language. So localization becomes a key issue on the success of a game,” says Ms. Ludolf. “A seamless interaction between the parties involved is crucial to ensure a smooth localization process yielding good results. I will try to show how a high standard of localized product can be achieved. Publishers and developers will get a peek behind the scenes of a localization agency and learn how they can help make their localized title a success, while making the process as painless and cost-effective as possible!
“World Domination - or: How Will my Game Conquer the World?" will be held on 9th July from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm in Saal 4.
