Panasonic TVs get 3D Gameloft titles

Publisher to support connected IPTV marketplace

Gameloft is to support Panasonic's Viera Connect range of IPTVs with a collection of 3D games.

Viera Connect HDTVs give users access to a marketplace where they can buy apps and games to customise their viewing - Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Ustream and Hulu Plus have all pledged support to the service.

Gameloft showed off racing title Asphalt 5 today at CES in Las Vegas, and also plans to bring N.O.V.A. and Uno to the service, all of which have online multiplayer features.

"Gameloft continues to innovate and adapt, as a result they have enjoyed unparalleled success with digitally distributed videogames," said Panasonic vice president Merwan Mereby.

"Together, Gameloft and Panasonic are enabling consumers to access the best games and create the ultimate experience in connected gaming entertainment specifically made for and enabled by consumers' television sets."
