Packard Bell, Official Partner Of The 2007 Electronic Sports World Cup

750 international champions are about to live the competition of their lives: the 2007 Electronic Sports World Cup - ESWC. To allow the best, most rich and intense experience possible, Packard Bell becomes the Official Partner of this unique event.

The high mass of electronic sports

The involvement of Packard Bell with the gamers' community is total. To that end, the iPower line turns the grandeur fantasies of gamers everywhere into reality. While all those passionate gamers are gathering in Paris to answer Games-Servers' (the company organizing the event) and ESWC/07' summoning, which will be held from the 5th to the 8th of July at the Porte de Versailles, Packard Bell had to welcome them in the best possible conditions. It's a done deal now, with a major set-up of more than 300 machines, featuring the iPower, which has been promoted official machine of the event.

The latest technologies at gamers' disposal

More than 300 desktops and displays will equip the main rooms where the competitions will be held. Dedicated game zones for selection rounds and finals will be equipped with iXtreme computers, Packard Bell's high-tech solution, which will be specially assembled around the Intel® Core 2 Duo CPU, 1024 Mo of DDR2 RAM, a 160 GB hard drive and an NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600 GTS with 256 MB Memory graphic card.

The Great Stage, where will be held the main matchs and the different events witnessed by a crowd of more than 5000 people, will be equipped with iPower computers, the ultimate performance and gaming solution. The Special Edition created especially for this event will sport a water-cooling equipped case, the Intel Intel® Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU, 2048 MB DDR2 RAM, a 160 GB Hard Drive and an NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTS with 320 MB Memory graphic card.

Packard Bell, at the heart of the event!

Figures clearly boast the ESWC'07 at the top of this summer's events. 50 000 visitors are expected at the Porte de Versailles, as well as 500 journalists coming from 45 countries. The World Cup will be relayed through 50 hours of live TV (adding up France, Europe, USA and China) and 700 hours of International TV Broadcast, 2 millions internet visitors and 10 millions Google hits, the day of the finals.

During the 4 days event, Packard Bell will host the best possible reception for journalists by equipping the press room.

A 120m² booth will be installed as well in the Hall 5 of the Porte de Versailles for the public to

discover all Desktops and Notebooks solutions that Packard Bell will provide to gamers before

the end of the year.

In addition, a website ( www.ipowergames.fr, which goes starting the 5th of July 2007) dedicated to gamers' communities will be opened in conjunction with the event, providing an indepth and regularly updated content to this demanding community.
