Over 140,000 attendees at CES 2011
More than 30,000 visitors from overseas at LA show
Preliminary figures suggest that over 140,000 people attended the Consumer Electronics Show in LA earlier this month, with more than 30,000 of them travelling from abroad to do so.
The show concluded last night after 250 sessions featuring 900 speakers, including Microsoft's Steve Balmer, and 2700 exhibiting companies.
"The 2011 International CES was a phenomenal worldwide event that spanned global industries including technology, automotive and entertainment markets," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the show's organising body - the CEA.
"This global technology gathering featured more innovation, more news, more social media buzz and more international attendance than any other show in CES history."
Next year's show takes place 10-13 January, 2012.
