OpenFeint

Social gaming dev kit used by Capcom for two iPhone games: Dark Void Zero and Hatchlings.

SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELES – May 4, 2010 – Capcom Interactive, Inc. and Aurora Feint today announced the successful launch of two OpenFeint-enabled games, Dark Void Zero and Hatchlings for the iPhone™ and iPod Touch™. Capcom’s titles incorporate key components of OpenFeint’s online gaming services, including global leaderboards and achievements.

"Capcom Interactive has been evaluating the online mobile gaming space for quite some time now and we think that OpenFeint has a great social games platform,” said Manabu Seko, Head of Americas and EMEA Studio, Capcom Interactive, Inc. "We look forward to taking advantage of OpenFeint’s social, gaming and marketing features to reach their 21 million players.”

OpenFeint will feature both Dark Void Zero and Hatchlings in its newly released OpenFeint Game Spotlight app for two weeks, starting today. OpenFeint Game Spotlight delivers gamers a free game every day and highlights outstanding game content on the OpenFeint network.

"We’re excited to help bring Capcom’s first OpenFeint-enabled games to our online gaming platform,” said Jason Citron, CEO and founder of Aurora Feint. “Dark Void Zero and Hatchlings are great online games and we look forward to working with great publishers and developers like Capcom in the future to integrate key components of our OpenFeint X platform social gaming services like virtual goods.”

In the highly acclaimed 8-bit platformer, Dark Void Zero, you play as Rusty, warrior test-pilot and Nikola Tesla’s trusted friend. With the help of your state-of-the-art rocket pack, blast through three deliciously retro levels of baddies in your quest to close Portal X and save the human race!

Hatchlings is an additive puzzler where the goal is to help Echo, The Gecko maintain the Great Hatchery by preparing magical creatures known as Hatchlings for their release into Crystelwell Forrest. To prepare the hatchery, you must line up three creatures vertically or horizontally using only the horizontal axis. Once at least three creatures are aligned they’ll disappear from the board.

Dark Void Zero and Hatchlings are live now in the App Store and can be downloaded by clicking here and here, respectively."
