OGPlanet Olympics
Cross-game competition taking place next month with prizes up for grabs.
El Segundo, Calif. - Aug 19, 2008 - OGPlanet, an innovative provider of multiplayer online games, is gearing up for the first-ever OGPlanet Olympics, to be held in September. This cross-game competition, scheduled for Sept. 4-14, will bring players from Cabal Online, Rumble Fighter and Albatross18, three of OGPlanet's massively multiplayer online games, together to vie for prizes and bragging rights.
Players of any of the three games represented in the OGPlanet Olympics can visit the OGPlanet forums to form teams with other players. An OGPlanet Olympics team will be composed of one player each from action role-playing game Cabal Online, fighting game Rumble Fighter and fantasy golf game Albatross18.
Participation in the OGPlanet Olympics will be limited to the first 48 teams formed. Once the competition begins, teams will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals, with accompanying prizes including Astros, the OGPlanet in-game currency. All participating players will also receive a prize for OGPlanet's upcoming release, La Tale.
"We're always striving to foster a sense of community among our players," said Don Choi, COO of OGPlanet, "By extending beyond the walls of an individual game and involving our entire player community, the OGPlanet Olympics will be a one-of-a- kind and thoroughly cooperative event."
