O2 and Real Business Magazine chooses I-play as a 50 to Watch in Mobile

London, UK - Tuesday 8th November 2005: - O2's 50 to Watch in Mobile, the first ever independently compiled list identifying the 50 most important British mobile companies to watch for 2006, are revealed in this month's edition of Real Business magazine. I-play, the mobile games company, was counted in the list, which pinpointed the new vibrant and innovative companies that are shaping the future of the mobile industry.

The criteria for selection were that the companies are British, growing, generating revenue, have a sound future and a certain X-factor, which sets them apart from their peers.

I-play has received a number of prestigious accolades in the past 12 months including:

  • Being selected as a Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 company, a league of the fastest-growing unquoted UK based companies;
  • Chosen as a Red Herring 100 Europe company, one of the 100 private companies in Europe and Israel that play a leading role in innovation and technology;
  • Receiving the Tornado 100 Award for a 4th year, a list representing the top 100 best performing and innovative high-tech private companies of Europe and Israel;
  • and recognised as a FierceWireless' 'Fierce 15' company, a distinction, which honors I-play as one of the top 15, emerging wireless companies worldwide for 2005.
