O2 Adds Another Dimension To Its Games Portfolio

O2 introduces 3D games to its growing portfolio with the launch of ‘Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D’ and ‘Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D’

O2 Games brings to life its most popular titles with the launch of 3D games on the mobile. O2 opens up its 3D portfolio with the latest version of thriller favourite 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D' and action-packed adventure 'Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D.'

Providing an extra dimension to mobile gaming, O2's 3D games portfolio introduces a breathtaking realism to mobile gaming never experienced before. Allowing players to further immerse themselves in the excitement of the game, the 3D launch of the ever-popular 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D' offers a unique experience, complementing O2's existing portfolio by ensuring a full-bodied, action-packed gameplay for all.

And for those extreme sports fans wanting to experience seasonal 3D slope action, 'Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D' provides the ultimate adrenalin rush.

'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D'

'Tom Clancy' has been a top selling brand over the last 2 years on the O2 games arcade and the 3D version of 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D' looks set to follow suit, offering an action packed game of stealth, brought brilliantly to life on the mobile with real 3D graphics.

Gamers play as Sam Fisher, a covert operative of a top-secret branch of the NSA, whose initial mission is to infiltrate a terrorist's camp and learn more about Suhadi Sadono, an Indonesian guerrilla using biological terrorism as a life insurance.

O2's mobile phone version of this popular game features the first level, where players approach an Indonesian village surrounded by the tropical jungle and guarded by trigger-happy terrorists - made all the more real by 3D graphics!

Gamers must adopt shadows as their new best friend in order to sneak up on the enemy and shoot them down or blast away a mine that's blocking the way. And with one accurate aim, lights can be shot dead too, enveloping players and their enemies in darkness to ensure the ultimate in 3D thrillers!

'Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D'

Bringing all the action and excitement of professional snowboarding onto the mobile, 'Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D' is rendered in real 3D graphics to make those tricks and jumps even more sensational!

Gamers must impress the judges with dangerous tricks as they hurtle down the speed-pipe and send snow flying in this all-new version of the hottest mobile snowboarding game around.

With practise, career and speed pipe modes, it is the game of choice for extreme sports fans whether players are after the acrobatic grace of half-pipe pros or the adrenaline rush of a high-speed race against the clock.

And if that doesn't get hearts racing and blood pumping then players can also challenge friends to a hot-seat multiplayer competition to see who is the real king of the 3D slopes.

Simon Dean, Head of Games for O2 comments, "By offering 3D Games such as 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Pandora Tomorrow 3D' and 'Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D' on the mobile, O2 is extending its commitment to making mobile gaming a more interactive, compelling and exciting experience.

Following on from O2's successful launch of Bluetooth® Games last month, the addition of 3D Games to the O2 portfolio also reflects the ever-evolving mobile games market," continues Dean. "Mobile gaming is rapidly becoming more sophisticated, catching up with traditional methods of gameplay by offering more and more content which was previously only available on platforms such as the PC, Xbox or PS2. With the launch of 3D games on the mobile, O2 is ensuring that gamers' overall mobile gaming experience is as exhilarating and stimulating as possible, with the added advantage of offering the excitement of the game wherever, whenever."
