Nominees named for GDC Awards
LittleBigPlanet scoops seven nominations, while Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead follow with four each
Think Services has announced nominees for the ninth annual Game Developers Choice Awards, set to take place at the Game Developers Conference on March 25.
Leading the announcement was LittleBigPlanet with seven nominations, including one for the Game of the Year award, alongside Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead, both of which received four nominations, while Grand Theft Auto IV and Fable 2 earned three each.
"Truly great games are the product of years of hard work by teams of incredibly dedicated and talented developers. It's an underlying principle of GDC that we recognise these talents and honour their achievements." says Meggan Scavio, director of Game Developers Conference.
"The awards given out at the Game Developers Choice Awards are more than just trophies; they are recognition of great work by the developer community. The open peer-based selection process ensures that the people with the final say are the people who work within the craft of game development, and we can't wait to see who they choose. Best of luck to all the teams who have gotten this far!"
Earlier this month, Think Services announced the Special Award recipients as Harmonix Music Systems co-founders Alex Rigopulos and Eran Egozy and, for his work with game audio, Tommy Tallarico.
