Nokia Announces Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands On The N-Gage Platform

First Addition To Critically Acclaimed Series

Los Angeles, May 17, 2005 -- Nokia and Red Lynx today announced the exclusive follow up to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed Pathway to Glory. Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands has been designed based on the feedback gathered from the whole gaming community: gamers and the games press.

"You played, we listened! Thank you! That's our thinking behind this game," says Toni Virhia, producer of PtG Ikusa Islands. "We have had the luxury to have gamers and games media give their feedback to us. We took it all in, added some black humour and great characters and are now proud to present Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands."

"We tweaked the single player mode from the original Pathway to Glory to make it more hectic and intense", says the lead designer of the game, Miika Tams, Red Lynx. "In addition to the more comprehensive tutorial, the missions have been made more full-on and fast paced. We also improved the maps and expanded the selection of weaponry."

A substantial number of alterations have been made to the PtG Ikusa Islands multiplayer game, designed to both ease game play and generate an even richer experience. An in-game chat system has been added enabling communication between both friends and foes via the N-Gage Arena. Multiplayer game modes via Bluetooth wireless connection and Hot-Seat gaming are also supported enabling up to 6 players to fight using the N-Gage game deck.

"PtG Ikusa Islands is sure to make all the Pathway to Glory fans happy", says Gregg Sauter, Director, Games Publishing, Nokia. "We also believe this game will entice new gamers to pick up an N-Gage QD and get familiar with the game everyone will be talking about".

Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands has been designed to appeal to the gamers who embraced the original but it has also been carefully enhanced to provide a faster and more approachable game play experience, with a full-scale movie-style narrative. PtG Ikusa Islands boasts the same attention to detail and gritty realism that was a hallmark of the original game.
