No press demonstrations of Gaikai at E3

Perry's OnLive rival will only be shown to publishers

David Perry has confirmed that Gaikai – the cloud gaming service announced earlier this year – will not be shown to the press at E3 next week.

The press were originally invited to see the service in action at E3, but demonstrations have now been pulled due to patent issues, according to Perry.

"I will be demonstrating Gaikai to publishers at E3 in my meeting room. We will not be doing press demos," confirmed Perry via Twitter.

Gaikai was originally revealed at GDC last March, with Perry telling GamesIndustry.biz that it was a superior service to OnLive.

OnLive announced last week that it would not be showing the cloud gaming service at E3, stating the event was too focused on the retail community.
