Speaking exclusively with GamesIndustry.biz, Nintendo's European marketing boss Jim Merrick has pledged that the company will continue to focus more strongly on Europe - and talked about the company's plans for Game Boy Micro.

"We are not going to be two years late, as we were with Animal Crossing on GameCube, on any other products," he pledged, going on to point out that Europe is Nintendo's main growth market at present.

Talking about the company's plans for the rest of the year, Merrick confirmed that Europe will be getting new Cube titles Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness before Christmas, and hinted that Wi-Fi download pods for DS would be coming to European retail outlets soon.

Merrick also touched on Nintendo's latest console, the Game Boy Micro, which was announced at E3 last week - saying that the company doesn't have a final plan for pricing, but that "I'd like to see the price between SP and DS, but exactly where, I don't know."
