Nintendo US has announced a plan to give away 500 tree seedlings to buyers in the US of its DS title Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol.
The game, according to George Harrison, outgoing US senior VP of marketing and corporate communications, "represents one of the first environmentally themed videogame adventures."
In order to be in with a chance of winning a free tree, owners of the game must register at a special web site before November 9.
Winners will be selected at random on November 15, which is America Recycles Day, and those 500 will receive the seedling to plant "in their community."
