Seoul, Korea – Monday, 20th July 2009 – NHN (KOSDAQKOSPI:035420), Korea's most profitable internet company, announced today the imminent opening of its new MMO service in Europe. NHN is at the forefront of internet-based services in Asia, with a portfolio that includes Hangame, the most successful online games portal in Asia, Naver, the leading search portal in Korea, and Happybean, an innovative online donations centre with nearly two million users. "Europe has tremendous growth potential that is too often overlooked by international MMORPG publishers," said Dongmin Lee, Head of Overseas Game Business Development. "We understand the opportunities the European market presents, and by meeting the unique requirements of European gamers, we believe we can offer them an outstanding service."
"We are incredibly excited about launching in Europe,” continued Lee. "The challenge of offering state-of-the-art service quality in a multilingual and multicultural context is huge, but we believe so are the rewards for companies who commit to serve their European players. As a service-oriented business, we are really looking forward to forging a relationship with the diverse European community."
NHN will be present and available for press requests at the Games Convention Online in Leipzig from 31st July to 2nd August 2009, and at GamesCom in Cologne from 19th to 23rd August 2009. Details of its first European title will be released soon.
