Exit Games supply platform for multiplayer mobile tournaments

Multiplayer service provider Exit Games has partnered with India Games to manage global tournaments at the first ever World Cyber Games competition for mobile phones.

Exit Games will supply multiplayer platform Neutron 2.5 on an exclusive basis, to manage the global games festival's mobile tournaments. The Neutron service platform allows turn based, simultaneous and real-time games, in-game chat and messaging and match-making, global rankings and community features for mobile games.

Haralde Behnke, CEO Exit Games said "it is a terrific challenge for us to provide our multiplayer technology for a global event like the World Cyber Games mobile. We are very excited to see the great results that leading developers create with Neutron."

The official Mobile Tournament games are Midtown Madness 3, Chopper Rescue, Goolie and Bruce Lee, and will be launched by Exact Games at the South African preliminaries. Players will enter an online championship followed by a ground event, from which the South African national champions will be selected. These national champions will be then flown to the Grand Finals in Singapore in November, where they will compete with finalists from around the world to crown the ultimate winner.

India Games secured a World Cyber Games brand license deal with creators International Cyber Marketing (ICM) and will host the first WCG mobile competition. Vishal Gondal, CEO of Indiagames said "We are very happy to associate with Exit Games to power the first ever World Cyber Games Mobile Championship. Their Neutron solution is truly state of the art and perfect for our requirements."

The World Cyber Games is the largest computer and videogames festival with conference, exhibition and gaming competition held on a global scale. Finals for the 2005 event will be held in Singapore in November.
