New mophun™ enabled handset
Stockholm, Sweden - February 8th 2005 - Synergenix continues to bring easily accessible, entertaining mobile gaming to the mass market. The new Sony Ericsson T290, a well-designed feature rich entry-level phone, is now being rolled out on the Chinese market in time for the traditional gift giving of the Chinese New Year. It will be available globally during the first quarter.
The T290 is the latest in Sony Ericsson's range of mass market mophun enabled handsets, following the successful T300, T610, T310, Z600, T630, T226 and T230.
Thanks to the preinstalled mophun middleware, in combination with a colour screen and polyphonic speaker, users can enjoy a very nice gaming experience, both from the embedded games and also from the extensive portfolio of downloadable games already available on the market. The T290's small size, large phonebook, MMS messaging in colour and sturdy styling will appeal to the young and those looking for a value-for-money phone to support their own private business.
This expands Synergenix' share of the mobile entertainment market and further strengthens mophun as a gaming middleware.
For operators and distributors the T290 adds even more volume to game sales for the existing range of mophun enabled mass market Sony Ericsson handsets.
