New Mobile Phone Game Designed To Help World AIDS Day
For Immediate Release:
Huntsville, Alabama. December 1st. Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon, a brand new game for mobile phones was released today by Werd Interactive, to commemorate World AIDS Day and help to raise money for HIV/AIDS research.
Every copy of the game sold will contribute to AIDS charities around the world. Werd is donating at least one dollar from each game sold to charities which are searching for a cure and directly supporting HIV and AIDS sufferers.
The game also features the red ribbon, the symbol of the global fight against HIV and AIDS as a background to each level. The game itself is a simple and accessible puzzle game, which can be played by almost every mobile phone owner.
Werd Interactive's Managing Director, Randy Shepherd, says, "HIV and AIDS are a global problem affecting millions of people. We at Werd feel very strongly about the need to educate people. HIV/AIDS is on the rise and it will take a continuous effort to let people know how to protect themselves from the virus, to encourage testing to determine if they are infected, and to let them know that if they are infected, there are many places they can go for help."
Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon costs $4.99 and is available directly from Werd Interactive's website: https://www.werdinteractive.com/games/tilesredribbon.html
Visitors can pay for the game using credit or debit cards, Paypal or pay directly through their mobile phone handset via text message. Werd Interactive provides secure online and mobile transactions using Bango's industry standard payment systems.
Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portugese.
"There are millions of mobile phone owners around the world," says Shepherd, "and we wanted to find a way to reach them on this very important day. Many stars from other areas of the entertainment industry lend their celebrity and time towards this issue and we also wanted to contribute. We're not pretty or famous enough to be on Entertainment Tonight, so we decided to create a game that was simple enough for every mobile phone owner to pick up and play and which will provide a reminder of the fight against HIV/AIDS, as well as directly benefit charities supporting AIDS sufferers and searching for a cure."
"It's time the games industry grew up and started contributing in a positive way to some of the social issues facing the world," says Shepherd. "Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon may be a very basic and simple game, but we're proud of it and sincerely hope that in some small way, it can help World AIDS Day and those affected by the virus worldwide."
