SEOUL, February 5, 2007 - WCGZone ( www.wcgzone.com), the year-round online gaming competition destination launched by the World Cyber Games in 2006, today announced the addition of three new games titles to their website: FIFA 07 Soccer, Age of Empires III and Age of Empires III: the War Chiefs.
These new titles bring the total games on WCGZone.com to seven. Other games include StarCraft, WarCraft III, FIFA 06, and Counter Strike 1.6. Through WCGZone, gamers can play year-round online matches and access clans, as well as other online community activities.
Along with the new games, WCGZone announced changes to their monthly leagues:
Players will now earn points instead of pre-determined prizes. This allows winners to choose from a multitude of prizes posted on the official WCG website. Beginning in Spring 2007, quarterly single elimination tournaments will be held alongside the monthly leagues. Only the highest ranking players from the monthly leagues will be invited to participate."We are constantly updating WCGZone to reflect worldwide gamers' opinions and demands in order to make the site user-friendly and more challenging," said Hoon Kim, head of WCG Operations. "We welcome gamers' feedback and hope, as result, that they participate in the WCGZone.com monthly leagues."
WCGZone.com is designed to strengthen gamers' online communities by providing a replay file uploading board and online forums where gamers can share opinions regarding strategies and the newest gaming information. To facilitate community services, WCGZone.com supports solutions for eight languages including English, Chinese, Korean, and soon will be implementing a multi-language service expanded to all services in WCGZone.com.
Gamers can participate in any of the WCGZone monthly leagues after joining WCGZone.com and installing GamOn, the program that operates WCG online matches. More detailed information about WCGZone monthly leagues and new game titles can be found at www.wcgzone.com.
