New Game Brings Navy Life To The Desktop
The Royal Navy is calling on anyone who ever wondered what it would be like to be in the Navy to test their skills in a new online combat game. Do you think you could cut it as a crack Royal Marines Commando sniper as well as taking command of modern and highly capable warships, submarines and helicopters?
Commando RAID - the new Internet game, is designed to give players a virtual taste of what life is like in the modern Royal Navy. The slick graphics transport players into real life combat situations on land, air and sea, to experience scenarios faced by the Navy team.
Players are invited to use the Navy's most up to date, high-tech equipment in this action-packed game that tests a wide variety of military skills. There is also the chance to make it onto RAID's top 50 players of the day scoreboard or the Royal Navy's prestigious all time highest scorers.
Mark Hankey, Lieutenant Commander RNR the Royal Navy's Internet Manager, said: "We wanted to create a game that gives players the feeling that they are a part of today's Royal Navy. RAID certainly does that and more. The game is fun, easy to use and can be downloaded from our website in a matter of minutes. The graphics make you feel part of the intense drama of a real life Navy operation. For anyone wanting to know what it is like to be in the Navy, or the type of work we do, it's a good way to find out more."
