New details of Geometry Wars Mobile revealed
Game to feature wide range of new modes
Following the announcement last month that hit Xbox Live Arcade title Geometry Wars is coming to mobiles, details have been revealed of the new challenge modes that will feature in the game.
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile will offer a main mode called Evolved Mobile, which is similar to the XBLA version - players must destroy enemies to rack up points, with the challenge becoming tougher the higher they score. There's also an Immortal mode which allows player to practice their techniques and work out their preferred control strategy.
Then there are the Challenge modes, which feature set objectives. In Survivor players have just one life, and in Untouchable players also have one life and must see how long they can keep going without using weapons.
In Monster mode scores are always multiplied by ten - but the action is constantly frantic. In Trenches players must try to score points without moving around the screen, and Speed sees them racing against the clock to reach set scoring targets.
In Multiplier the objective is to reach the five times and 10 times multiplayers as quickly as possible, and in Feline it's a race to earn five and nine lives. And finally, Bomber sees players trying to earn five and nine bombs quickly.
Players will be able to post their best times and scores for each challenge on local lists, and on the network leaderboard.
A release date for Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile has yet to be announced.
