New Communications Executive for Future
Lyndsey Mayhew appointed to strengthen team
28/08/06 - Future is pleased to announce the appointment of Lyndsey Mayhew as its new Communications Executive.
Lyndsey joins the Press Office at the special-interest publisher after a successful stint as a reporter for the Somerset County Gazette series. Working on three weekly newspapers, Lyndsey proved herself by masterminding a community campaign, which resulted in her delivering a petition boasting 5,000 names to No.10 Downing Street. Before joining Future, she was also responsible for maintaining the County Gazette's local news website.
Using her skills and journalistic experience, Lyndsey will continue to develop Future's press coverage and profile, spending her time between the company's Bath and London Offices. Reporting to Media Relations Manager, Will Guyatt, her focus will be promoting Future's Women's Interest, Cycling, Motoring and Craft portfolios - working with magazines including Health & Fitness, Junior, Fast Car and Simply Knitting.
Future's Media Relations Manager, Will Guyatt said:
"I'm delighted to welcome Lyndsey to the team. She is enthusiastic and her experiences as a reporter will hold her in great stead for this exciting and challenging role. In an increasingly competitive media environment, the pressure is on to maximise our press coverage and make Future's experts the first that journalists call on for comment."
