Neowiz continues Euro expansion with new online deal

Manga-themed sports title S4 League is latest free-to-play game for Alaplaya portal

Korean publisher Neowiz has inked a deal with German outfit Hubert Burda Media to launch its free-to-play game S4 League in Europe.

The manga-style sports game will be available on Burda's Alaplaya portal, which launched in Europe last year, and boasts 300,000 registered users.

"We are glad we were able to obtain yet another blockbuster for Alaplaya for the whole of Europe. We are positive about the quality of the game, as well as of our partner Neowiz Games," offered Ingo Griebl, managing director of Burda.

Early last year, Electronic Arts acquired a 19 per cent stake in Neowiz. The company operates EA's FIFA Online in Korea.
