Need for Speed Shift Tour
PGTA's racing game instructor Steve "Stune" Embling wins Nissan 350Z in game.co.uk's contest.
Lincolnshire, UK. 26th September 2009
The Professional Gamer Training Academy ( www.pgta-training.com) would like to congratulate our racing games instructor, Steve “Stune” Embling who took part in the competition organised by game.co.uk to celebrate the launch of Need for Speed Shift.
The Competition?
The Need for Speed Shift Tour offered gamers the opportunity to set the fastest lap times they could at any of the 49 participating stores in the UK. Steve set the fastest lap at his local store and qualified for the finals.
On Saturday 26th September Steve took part in the final at Thorpe Park and won the competition. His prize is a Nissan 350z sports car.
Who is Steve “Stune” Embling?
Ever since Steve played on a friend's Playstation when he was ten he knew gaming was for him. Shortly after that he purchased his own Playstation, followed by a PS2, XBox and XBox Live.
PGR2 was the first game Steve played competitively online and he soon wanted more, so he attended his first gaming tournament in 2005. One lap from the end of the race Steve was leading, but a late mistake pushed him down to second place and cost him a £12,000 car. It was then he knew he had potential in pro gaming, and since that mistake he knew the importance of being consistent as well as fast.
Since then Steve has won a vast number of tournaments and was drafted to the Professional CGS team London Mint. Now he plays for Team Dignitas and says he “is looking forward to teaching anyone, from those who are competing for the next big gaming event to those who can't keep their car off the grass :)”
Steve is available to give lessons at our site www.pgta-training.com
