NCsoft has reported its 2007 earnings, with sales of KRW 330 billion (USD 335.1 million) and net profits of KRW 45 billion (USD 48.4 million).
Although the company saw its sales drop 3 per cent year over year, its operating profit, pre-tax profit and net profit all increased.
For Q4, NCsoft reported net sales of KRW 89.1 billion (USD 95.9 million) and a net profit of KRW 10.3 billion (USD 11.1 million). Sales and operating profit increased 11 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively, from the third quarter which the company attributed to sustained sales from the Lineage series and the release of Ricard Garriott's Tabula Rasa in November.
Sales were strongest in Korea (59 per cent), followed by North America (17 per cent), Japan (9 per cent), Europe (8 per cent) and Tawain (3 per cent). Korea and North America recorded a 21 per cent and 11 per cent increase in sales from the previous quarter, respectively.
Lineage and Lineage II sales increased quarter to quarter, while City of Heroes/City of Villains and Guild War sales dropped.
NCsoft announced that Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa has recorded sales of KRW 5 billion (USD 5.4 million). The company expects to see an increase in sales in the 6 - 15 per cent range, and an increase in operating profit in the range of 15- 33 percent, for fiscal 2008.
