NCsoft announces "Killer" Lineage II promotion

Friday 30 September 2005/... NCsoft^TM Europe has announced a new retail package for Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle while simultaneously unveiling an amazing audio visual collaboration with sensational band The Killers.

A re-imagining of the video for The Killers' track, Mr Brightside, uses stunning visuals from NCsoft's number one game to create a promotional video that is currently showing on the US-only channel MTV2. NCsoft is currently planning a microsite to showcase the ground-breaking video to European audiences around the time the new retail package hits the shelves on 14th October 2005.

Featuring the latest update, Chronicle 3: Rise of Darkness, Lineage II's new guise will allow an entirely new generation of gamers to enjoy the castle sieges, involving political and economic systems and unique art direction that have captured players' hearts the world over.

Dirk Metzger, marketing director at NCsoft Europe, said: "The inclusion of Lineage II in the MTV2 series is evidence that MMOs are breaking through into the mainstream and this is an ideal time for us to be representing Lineage II to a new audience."

The Killers, hailing from Las Vegas, first formed three years ago. Since then their debut album Hot Fuss has gone quadruple platinum as well as winning Best New Band at the MTV Awards.

The new Lineage II box will arrive in European stores on 14th October 2005.
