NAMCO’S "REBELSTAR: TACTICAL COMMAND(TM)" BLASTS INTO STORES

Turn-Based Science Fiction Strategy Game Arrives on the Game Boy(R) Advance

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (September 6 , 2005) - Global video games publisher Namco Hometek Inc. announced today that "Rebelstar: Tactical CommandTM" has begun shipping to retail outlets throughout North America. Developed by Codo Technologies, the team behind the groundbreaking "X-Com" and "Laser Squad" series, the game features strategic turn-based skirmishes, destructible environments and an engrossing science fiction storyline of mankind's final redemption against hostile alien invaders. Released exclusively for the Game Boy® Advance, "Rebelstar: Tactical Command" will be available at all major retailers for an estimated retail price of $19.99.

Nominated earlier this year for GameSpot's "Best of E3" awards, "Rebelstar: Tactical Command" tells the story of a future where mankind has been enslaved for decades by an oppressive alien race known as the Arelian empire. Jorel, a new recruit, joins the rebels and quickly advances through the ranks. He leads his ever-growing squad to do anything necessary to drive every last extraterrestrial invader back into space and take back what is rightfully theirs. Along the way, Jorel's team of revolutionaries will discover incredible new skills, capture powerful alien weaponry, and blast their way to freedom.

"'Rebelstar: Tactical Command' is a turned-based strategy title that captures the gameplay PC gamers have been enjoying for years" said Jeff Lujan, Business Director at Namco Hometek Inc. "The level of strategy and character development will allow GBA owners to experience gameplay with depth that fans of the genre will be very pleased with."

"Rebelstar: Tactical Command" expands upon the foundation of traditional turn-based strategy games by incorporating advanced new abilities and tactics. Destructible environments allow players to obliterate enemy hiding spots, uncovering them for a full-on assault. The game also uses a "line of sight" system that lets players plan and execute sneak attacks on unwitting enemies undetected. As players progress through missions, they will be able to upgrade existing character abilities, learn new skills and build a well-balanced squad. Players can also enjoy the game's deep tactical battles with a friend in hotseat multiplayer using just one Game Boy Advance.

"Rebelstar: Tactical Command" is rated E10+ by the ESRB. For more information on "Rebelstar: Tactical Command," please visit http://rebelstar.namco.com/. To download new screenshots for "Rebelstar: Tactical Command," please visit www.kohnkecomm.com/dl/namco/rebelstar_ships.zip.
