Namco Unleashes New Rebelstar: Tactical Command Trailer

Namco Hometek Inc. today released a new trailer for its upcoming turn-based strategy game "Rebelstar: Tactical CommandTM." Nominated as a finalist for GameSpot's "E3 2005 Editors' Choice Award", this new gameplay trailer features strategic combat action as rebels take arms against the Arelian Empire in an urban terrain that lets players do something new in turn-based strategy games: blow their environment up.

Developed by the same team responsible for the PC strategy classics, the "X-COM" series and "LASER SQUAD," "Rebelstar: Tactical Command" will deliver in-depth strategy and an original sci-fi storyline this August on the Game Boy® Advance.

The Arelian empire has been in control of Earth for 70 years. A new recruit, Jorel, organized a rebel force that just might be able to crush the Arelian empire. Players must use the environment to their advantage in this turn-based strategy game that utilizes destructible terrain and true line of sight rules in eight directions. Players can also equip their squad with a variety of weapons including grenades, sniper rifles and missile launchers to take down the Arelian empire.
