Namco Networks' Pool Pro Online II Reaches 2.2 Million Games Played Online Six Months after Launch

Rapid success of sequel supports consumer demand for Namco's head-to-head pool pro online franchise

SAN JOSE, CA - July 10, 2007 - A mere six months after the launch of Pool Pro Online II TM , U.S. wireless subscribers with BREW® handsets have played the title more than 2.2 million times online. Pool Pro Online II, which uses QUALCOMM's BREW solution, is available from Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of wireless games and network content. Contributing to this statistic, the top record-setting player has played Pool Pro Online II more than 8,000 times.

Following the success of Pool Pro Online, the first multiplayer pool game available from U.S. wireless operators, Pool Pro Online II uses similar network connectivity to allow players to enter a virtual pool hall to compete head-to-head in real time against players vying for fame and in-game cash. Players can customize their game experience by creating a personal profile for an in-game look and visit the Pro Shop to purchase new cue sticks, pool tables and in-game backgrounds. The game offers offline one-player or two-player versus mode for those looking for a little practice and maintains backwards compatibility to the established player network of the original game.

"The rapid success of Pool Pro Online II indicates that wireless subscribers enjoy games that provide them with the ability to customize their head-to-head mobile gaming experience," said Scott Rubin, vice president of sales and marketing, Namco Networks. "Namco Networks has always recognized the potential of incorporating network components into some of our highly successful mobile games. Pool Pro Online II builds on the success of the original, making the Pool Pro Online franchise of games successful on the BREW solution and popular among wireless subscribers."

In Pool Pro Online II, individual profiles track players' skills, wins, losses and tournament rankings. Players can search for opponents online by skill, rank or the size of their in-game bank account. Continuing the social aspect of the Pool Pro Online franchise, Pool Pro Online II allows players to create a buddy list to track their favorite opponents and communicate with their competitors while playing online using the game's messaging feature.

"Namco Networks continues to publish and develop brand-based, entertaining mobile games that introduce appealing new features and components for today's casual gamers," said Mike Yuen, senior director of the Gaming Group for QUALCOMM Internet Services. "Namco Networks' games, such as Pool Pro Online II, leverage BREW to create advanced game features that are popular among mobile gamers."
