My Little Baby

Raylight's youngster sim adapted for the newly announced Samsung Wave phone.

IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE

25th February 2010

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, announced the launch of the Samsung Wave (Model: S8500) at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on the 14th February. This is the first mobile handset to be released on Samsung’s new, open mobile platform, Samsung bada, and the cornerstone of the company’s commitment to provide a smartphone for every lifestyle.

For this brand new handset, leading independent Italian videogames developer, Raylight, took their popular “My Little Baby” baby-care 3D simulation game, published by dtp young entertainment for the Nintendo DS™, and redefined it specifically for Samsung’s new mobile platform, bada. Working with world-leading creator and distributor of mobile applications and services, Handmark, Raylight has developed new features exclusively for “My Little Baby” on the Samsung Wave, such as the use of the camera, accelerometer and face-tracking, as well as the touch sensitive interface. Full of different interactive features and mini-games, “My Little Baby” is as absorbing as ever.

With the impressive 3D performance of the new Super AMOLED display, graphics are even better, and “My Little Baby” uses the handsets new features in an appealing and fun way. Massi Di Monda, CEO and co-founder of Raylight says: “We are very excited to be involved with the launch of the Samsung Wave, particularly as we are the only Italian developer to have a game available on this platform for the launch. This new mobile not only looks elegant, but is ‘fantastico’ for games”.

Said Kanghyun Kwon, Samsung’s Vice President of Content Service Team, Media Solution Center, “Samsung Wave sees our platform vision become a reality. For the first time, developers have the freedom to create applications across multiple platforms, for consumption on a huge range of devices. In the Wave, our developer partners can see the ocean of opportunity that is offered by the bada mobile platform and our device technology,”

The Samsung Wave offers a Super AMOLED 3.3” display that makes the screen truly come alive, a Social Hub to bring you closer to your contacts and connections, and TouchWiz 3.0 for an intuitive and hugely customisable user interface. The Wave’s high-speed CPU ensures swift, smooth application experiences and multi-tasking, making the device an always-on mobile multimedia companion. The Samsung Wave has been built to offer users an unrivalled level of performance, customisation and choice in how they connect with their world. This new full touch mobile will be available globally from April 2010.
