FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
6th August 2010
Raylight continues to establish its cross-format credentials with the development of their hit mobile ‘baby caring’ game for the PC and WiiWareTM.
Italy’s leading independent games developer, Raylight, and German publisher dtp young entertainment have joined forces once again on the ‘My Little Baby’ franchise to bring the hit mobile game to PC and WiiWareTM.
Raylight has now developed the game for the Nintendo DS, Samsung Wave and has plans for other mobile handsets by the end of 2010. With the new PC and WiiWareTM releases scheduled for October and November 2010, Raylight is forging new ground with its cross-format technology and delivery.
Massi Di Monda, CEO and Co-founder of Raylight said; “We have developed our own technology, from our BlueRoses engine to our Xrayunwrap toolset, to enable videogames developed for one format to be seamlessly ported to any hardware platform without any changes to code or content. A great example of this is ‘My Little Baby’, which was originally launched on the Nintendo DS, then on Samsung Wave, then to PC and WiiWareTM platforms – four different systems and the process was simple. We love looking after dtp young’s Little Baby and we want to carry it carefully and lovingly to all the other platforms as well!!”
The PC and WiiWareTM versions of the game come with new features such as further optimised graphics and the PC version has the unique ‘voice command’ feature whereby players can teach their baby to speak!
The ‘My Little Baby’ project forms just one part of the current tide of innovative, cross-format work being conducted by the studio.
Raylight is currently collaborating with Italian developer SpinVector and Italian publisher Palzoun on their co-production for a ‘futuristic racing game’ for iPhone. Raylight also has a range of projects being discussed using their cross-format technology – including PS3 and Xbox 360 – making them a very attractive option for international publishers.
Massi concludes, “We’re building on our talents and capabilities every day. Our technologies are world-class and provide a clear advantage to publishers wanting to develop premium IP’s across all platforms – but only Raylight does it simply and seamlessly.”
Raylight will be at Gamescom Cologne from August 18th – 20th. To book a meeting, please visit www.raylightgames.com
