Muskedunder Interactive, a Swedish flash game developer, announced that it has acquired independent developer Free Lunch Design.
Free Lunch Design, founded in 1998, is best known for its Icy Tower game which boasts over 20,000,000 downloads.
Muskedunder Interactive has developed advergames and serious games for clients such as Doritos, Paramount Home Entertainment and Red Cross.
"We will not be leaving the advergame space, but rather expand our development profile," said Muskedunder CEO Magnus Alm.
"To the fans of Free Lunch Design I would like to emphasize that we are committed to the brands built by Johan, and we will make sure they stay 100 per cent free and coming at a steady pace."
Free Lunch Design founder Johan Peitz will become a shareholder and new lead programmer of Muskedunder.
"This is a great injection, taking Free Lunch Design to new heights. The popularity of our games combined with the excellent business side of Muskedunder will create awesome synergetic effects," Peitz said.
