MusiGames at Macworld 2010

Drums Challenge developer at this week's event in San Francisco.

RECIFE, Brazil - February 9, 2010 - MusiGames, a developer of games and edutainment software, today announced that the company will be at Macworld 2010, which runs from today until February 13th in San Francisco. The company just raised its first investment round with Criatec Fund, the largest Brazilian seed capital group, and will show its latest games at Macworld.

With the Criatec funding, MusiGames finished raising capital for its current investment plan, with a total value in excess of $1.5 million, including R&D grants from the Brazilian innovation agencies FINEP / Facepe and CNPq. The investment will be used to expand MusiGames’ line of music titles. Eight high quality games will be launched in 2010 and some of them can be seen at Macworld 2010.

In relation to partnerships, Américo Amorim, CEO of MusiGames Studio, explained that they will continue working with leading publishers to ensure that their games have the best promotion in the AppStore.

MusiGames also intends to expand partnerships with leading music labels, such the one that exists with Black Hole Records which made the release of DJ Nights with songs from artists like Tiësto possible.

"The games we're working on right now will feature the best pop, rock and dance artists," said Americo Amorim, CEO of MusiGames.
