Musical preview: Belief & Betrayal main theme
dtp/ANACONDA press release for July 4, 2006 Hamburg, Germany:
July 4, 2006 - To get you in the mood for the upcoming
adventure hit Belief & Betrayal, the adventure game gurus
from ANACONDA today released a musical preview of the stunning
game. On offer is a snippet from the main theme to the
beautiful thriller that revolves around a sinister church
conspiracy. Stylistically in tune with the game, the designers
have implemented passages from Franciscan monk Thomas of
Celano's (~ 1190-1260) requiem: Confutatis Confutatis
maledictis, flammis acribus addictis, voca me cum benedictis.
Oro supplex et acclinis, cor contritum quasi cinis, gere curam
mei finis. This mix of clerical chorals and mystical ambient
music is a perfect fit for the game's intriguing story: Belief
& Betrayal is set in the present, but its story reaches
back all the way to the beginnings of Christianity. Secret
orders, forbidden scriptures and ancient secrets - Belief &
Betrayal tackles themes that are popular both in adventure
games as well as current popular fiction. In Belief &
Betrayal, players take over the role of Jonathan Danter, as he
is drawn into a church conspiracy that reaches back through the
centuries all the way to the day Judas received 30 pieces of
silver for betraying Jesus. His quest takes him from New York
to London, Oxford, Venice and naturally, Rome. Belief &
Betrayal is being developed by Artematica and will be released
worldwide by ANACONDA in the 4th quarter 2006.
