FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONDON, 13 May 2005 - GamerParty Limited is pleased to announce it has started work on producing a new online football (soccer) management game. The game is in early stages of development and is scheduled for an August 2005 beta release.
GamerParty Limited, the owners of multiplayer gaming site www.weplayhere.com has a good background in multiplayer games development and community management. With this new project set to further expand there already growing suite of online multiplayer games.
"As a big football fan myself, I always feel quite let down by the online versions of football management. Instead we want to offer something quite different to every other game online right now," said Gregg Baker, Director of Gamerparty Limited.
"We want to push the boundaries and finally dismiss this myth of its not possible to have a real-time live match engine in an online game like many of the offline alternatives offer. We don't have many details to release right now, but we hope to have the beta test starting in August 2005"
The game will include fictitious clubs and players while offering in-depth finances, transfers, training and tactics. But the biggest part of the game has to be its live match engine. Giving the managers the ability to watch their players play and make changes during the game, something not offered by any other online game right now.
"It is likely that the game will be subscription based, we don't know how much yet though as we are looking at alternatives first. With the growing rate of companies wanting in-game advertising we may wish to pursue this route and keep the game free."
A website with further information and screenshots is currently in development and will soon be available at http://www.gpfootballmanager.com
