MU got game? Build your dream gaming machine
Online gamers are enjoying the distinctive features — and benefits — of customized game PCs.
(Manila, Philippines) - As avid online gamers set out on a daring quest for honor and supremacy, they also continue to seek the ultimate gaming machine that will significantly heighten their overall gaming experience.
One hundred of them have discovered X-Station 2 Game Gear Pro MU Edition PC offered by PC Express (PCX), one of the Philippines' leading computer retailers, and Mobius.ph. Launched at the MU Battle Soccer Tournament and Convention last year, the MU Game Gear Pro was designed to provide optimal gaming conditions for most hardcore online gamers, according to PCX vice president for operations, Jesse Tan.
"Online gamers require more sophisticated PCs compared to the average user in order to efficiently handle and respond to game server data. A potent machine like the MU Game Gear Pro actually enables gamers to respond faster and perform better because of its powerful processor. Additionally, visually-arresting game graphics and true-to-life sound effects add to the experience of the game," Tan said.
The X-Station 2 Game Gear Pro MU Edition PC operates on an Intel Pentium 4 processor and features an Intel 915PGN PCX graphic port, PowerColor ATI X300SE 128MB 64bit video card, 80GB 7200 SATA (8mb cache) hard drive in an Antec Super LanBoy aluminum casing. It also includes an LG Ez Flatron 17-inch monitor, Logitech i-net PS/2 black keyboard, and Logitech PS/2 optical mouse, as well as free speakers and a wireless adaptor.
The MU Game Gear Pro also comes installed with massively multiplayer online role-playing adventure MU Online, allowing gamers to set off immediately on an online quest to battle the evil minions of Kundun and save the continent of MU. According to Carlo Rufino, Mobius.ph product director for MU, "We initiated this partnership with PC Express in a desire to provide our gamers with not only the best digital content, but also the best gaming experience through top-of-the-line hardware." Mobius.ph is the local distributor of MU Online in the Philippines.
"These limited edition PCs have been sold out since the first quarter of the year and we continue to receive orders for them. They really are popular and PC Express continues to host a forum that encourages users to contribute in making MU Online highly enjoyable and engaging to a wider audience," added Tan. "Gaming here is not just a form of popular entertainment; it's a community."
According to Rufino, Mobius.ph has started beta trials for MU Online Castle Siege. Test servers running the trial version have been very high since being launched two weeks ago. "The response is just awesome," said Rufino. "Castle Siege provides the opportunity for guilds to form alliances with the intent to capture a castle held by another guild. It requires a high level of expertise, and is of particular interest to experienced players," he said.
Aside from its customized desktop packages, PCX will also be coming up with gaming notebooks that can be assembled on the spot for customers.
Digital Media Exchange (dme) founder and president Scott Countryman said, "Our partnership with PC Express is just one way we work to create a total gaming experience for our players. And we're delighted the machines have been so well received."
dme is the parent company of Mobius.ph.
