MotorHEAT
Best gameplay award secured in I Hó Play International Videogames Contest.
OVIEDO, SPAIN, Sep 26, 2010 - The game development company Milkstone Studios, located in Asturias, Spain, has won with their Xbox 360 game 'MotorHEAT' the best gameplay award in the 'I Hó Play International Videogames Contest'.
This contest, featured in the 'I Hó Play International Videogame Festival', organized by AlhóndigaBilbao between 9 and 25 of September, that has counted with more than 5,000 visitors, awards the most original, creative and innovative videogame productions showing a fun and educative approach. A total of 48 games have been presented to the contest.
"We consider this award as the most important from all categories, since gameplay and interaction are the main differing factors between videogames and most traditional forms of art", says Alejandro González, Milkstone Studios cofounder.
Defined by many as "a perfect mix between risk and reward", MotorHEAT puts you in the wheels of the ultimate sports car. The game goal is to get the highest score by risking while overtaking cars. This will fill the Boost gauge, which will enable you to reach spectacular speeds and scores. You can even check your global ranking at any time, and challenge your friends to beat your best score.
It's not the first award that the game has been given: On July MotorHEAT won the "Best Spanish Independent Game" award in the "Desarrollador_es" Contest, on the Valencia Campus Party.
"Without a doubt, from the 4 games we've made so far, MotorHEAT is the one we're most proud of. It has won all contests where it was inscribed"
MotorHEAT is available on Xbox LIVE Indie Games, you can download the free demo directly to your Xbox from the Xbox website: http://marketplace.xbox.com/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258550457/
Milkstone Studios is formed by a young team of developers which focus on providing very gameplay-centric games on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel. With games like Little Racers, Wool, or Avatar Ninja!, they're slowly making themselves a place in the independent games world.
