More speculation of lay-offs at Microsoft
Report suggests company considering cutting staff with possible announcement next week
Another report has suggested Microsoft is considering considerable lay-offs across the company.
Earlier this month, a number of reports surfaced claiming Microsoft could let as many as 15,000 employees go, both full-time, part-time and contractors.
The latest speculation from the Wall Street Journal suggests the figure will be less than 15,000, and Microsoft is still considering other ways to cut costs rather than redundancies.
The company is to report its quarterly earnings next week on January 22, when any significant business changes could be announced.
