More layoffs at Kixeye - Report

Online game developer makes cuts for the second time this year

Game developer Kixeye has reportedly undergone another round of job cuts. Word of the cuts appeared on Twitter earlier this week, and Gamasutra reports that it confirmed the news with "a source involved in the cuts."

This is the second time this year Kixeye has shed headcount. In January, the company was reported to have laid off about 25 percent of its workforce. However, in confirming that cuts had taken place, CEO Will Harbin said that "reported numbers are incorrect, exaggerated, and we did not get rid of entire engineering teams."

The scope of this week's cuts is unclear, and Kixeye representatives have not returned requests for comment.

The San Francisco-based Kixeye has offices in Australia and Canada, and operates a variety of PC and mobile online games for core audiences, including Battle Pirates, War Commander, and Vega Conflict.
